    €450k isn't it?

    £350k.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I'm sure there probably is that too. I'd be very surprised if Uefa doesnt get a cut from ticket revenues. When we played Real Madrid away, we had two price options, £58 and £88.

I doubt that tickets for a random La Liga game are £58 and £88.

Obviously the club will probably put up prices to a point, but i bet there's an amount which Uefa take as well.

I dont think UEFA will actually enforce FFP myself, but we'll see.

They are not 'ethic fair play fules'.

You know full well that for a billionaire to buy trophies isnt really fair play in the context of competition.
It isn't really financial fair play either if you look at the whole picture. If someone want to do what Anzhi is doing then they can't because of the rules.

The Bundesliga will for example need to up ticket prices. Even 80k a week isn't enough to make you competitive in the transfer market if you have low ticket prices.

It should be a spending cap. Scrap the fair play rules and introduce a spending cap. That is more or less the only way to make if fair.

Pah, there'll only be some other anomalous situation. It's a matter of how one chooses to define 'fair'.
            .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Anzhi are doing a Chelsea and propelling themselves to the top of their division by simply outspending everyone which is why these rules are being put in place, to try and keep clubs on an even playing field in regards to finances, if Anzhi were generating hundreds of millions of pounds of profit then no one would be able to complain about what they are doing but the fact remains is that they're only able to spend like they are because they've got a billionaire sugar daddy
We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.

The FFP is, in a sense, a spending cap - it caps a club's spending to a portion of their generated revenues.

They aren't even close to do what Roman did at Chelsea.

The owner hasn't up the ticket price at all. As long as the ticket price is around €1 then he isn't doing it to earn money. He is doing it for the fans so they will be able to watch great players and a great team. If he upped the ticket price then you could argue that he is doing it for another reason but as long as it is only around €1 then he is doing it for the fans and not himself.

Chelsea up the ticket prices to the highest in the league. That is a big difference.

So Arn is it fair on supporters if a rich businessman buys the club, gets loads of players on massive contracts and then gets bored so the club goes broke?

I fear you may not be looking at all sides of this issue.

As for doing it for the fans, yeah, right, the world really works like that.

If he walks away leaving the club bankrupt then he is whatever disrespectful word you can come up with. As long he stays and the ticket price is only €1 then he isn't.

Time will tell. Everyone thought Roman would walk away and get bored but he is a genuine football fan that love his club.

FPP would stop this eventuality. Just because it doesn't happen in all cases doesn't mean it isn't worth trying to avert.

Out of interest, does FPP stop thieves buying a club with its own money, as magically done by the Glazers and Hicks and Gillett?
