**** me, Wayne Routledge has got an appalling record as a premiership footballer, he's made 100 appearances for 7 different clubs and never scored a premier league goal
We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.

Stuart Taylor on the bench for City has the worst professional record ever, surely
Years Team Apps† (Gls)†
1997–2005 Arsenal 18 (0)
1999 → Bristol Rovers (loan) 4 (0)
2000 → Crystal Palace (loan) 10 (0)
2001 → Peterborough United (loan) 6 (0)
2004–2005 → Leicester City (loan) 10 (0)
2005–2009 Aston Villa 12 (0)
2009 → Cardiff City (loan) 8 (0)
2009– Manchester City 1 (0)
69 first team appearances since 1997? Got to be the worst ever.

Craig, everyone knew that too, its just that some of us were being realistic that we'd never be in with a chance of signing him.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostPeople starting to understand why i said not to bother with Downing and Henderson, and try to get Aguero instead?
Ergo, it's irrelevant

He'd pay back his wages within a season, easily.Originally posted by Liverpool View Posthis wages are too much for us
Our problem is we think too conservatively, we try to find reasons why we cant do something, rather than being more positive.
Why wouldnt we? He cost about the same as Downing & Henderson and if you believe FSG 'cant afford' his wages, then i think you're way off the mark.Originally posted by Norbert Dentressangle View PostCraig, everyone knew that too, its just that some of us were being realistic that we'd never be in with a chance of signing him.

I believe they invested some $200m or more recently, into the Red Sox. They could easily have afforded it, they're minted.

yeah i see your point. though not sure what carroll would do with those two either side. then again i get less sure about carroll the more i see him anyway.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostI dont think we'd need Downing with Aguero and Suarez operating either side of Carroll.
But whatever you think.
i think the most important thing about why didnt we sign agureo is our lack of european football (maybe wages too) i think he wanted to go to Madrid. Not sure he would have come to us at all this summer
