Do you guys think in some cases its a club protecting the player and saying he is out injured? I can see a case for it if the player has had alot of money spent on them. I mean, imagine if it was Torres and they just had to terminate his contract. Money down the drain.

They've said that the club who sold him knew the test results and hid them, if it's Torres then we're ****ed big time. The transfer could be reversed and money returned which would leave us with both Torres AND Carroll minus £50m.

If it involves us then I'd much rather it was the Carroll transfer for all those reasons. FWIW though, I'm pretty sure it's not seeing that all the play for him was made by us.

Pub teams over here are ridiculous - or at least mine was. I used to go to the pub at 11am on a Saturday, drink in there for 12 hours before "having a wander" elsewhere and putting all sorts up my nose into the bargain. Many times I'd find myself back at the pub at 7am, still out, walk back home to get my boots/shin pads, back to the pub where we'd meet then on to our Sunday morning game.

I totally remember bumping into team mates in night clubs at 3am before an 10am kick off, us having a laugh about how ****ing mental it will be that we will be running around a football pitch in a few hours hours time.

Then to turn up to the game rough as ****. Guys just totally wrecked. I used to play up front and always remember the first run/chase for the ball as being almost surreal. Spewing at half time was also a totally common occurance.

There isn't that many possible players that would be big news but he is one of the few.

I doubt that the player started in the league since he got caught and that would rule out a lot of players.

The question is when he got caught and the club hide the result?
