Dunno about him being Pele but Rooney is a ****in fantastic player. Could never understand him going to the Scum and us having zero interest in him. Our recent history could have been a lot different with him in our team. I don't think he's underrated - on the contrary. He's routinely creamed over. I think he's a streaky player. When he's good and scoring goals he appears unstoppable, but he's capable of serving up some right muck and goes through some very poor spells. Last season he scored 11 goals in the league. 11 ...he's already got 8 this season.
