has he? I've been impressed with him so far and think he's settled in well. If we can close the gap between defence and attack, it'll suit him better. I honestly don't know what people want, I mean 12 months ago we were ****ed as a club and now there are so many positives and we have a player trying to make the step up who actually wants to be here and wants to do well for us.

Bumping the thread to boast about him having a bad game v the best team in the world while surrounded by utter garbage himself is a bit weird I find.

Especially when its nothing to do with his Liverpool career anyway. But each to their own.

As stated in my comment you seem so offended by, i will give him my full support and hope he goes on to have an amazing career for us. I just think that he had a poor game tonight (in mitigation, it was against Spain) but his distribution and decision making was poor IMO.

I think there's more to come from him for us and i think his performances will improve, i just dont think he's set the world on fire just yet. But that's just my opinion, if it's ok with you that i have one?

Its more in disappointment than any schadenfreude at his display Chris. I'm not the biggest fan of international.football, but it is disappointing to realise I'll probably never see Scotland qualify for anything again. Context? Also, I really want Adam to do.well.for LFC - its great that we have a scot getting first team action and is an important squad member, I just hope he can sort his form out. Last time he came back from Scotland duty, he carried on the bad form he showed for Scotland in a red shirt. Hope it isn't a mental thing and he can kick on and have a good season.

Scotland showed more fight & spirit tonight against a very good Spanish side and they were far from being garbage

I didn't see the first half as I was watching Ireland, but from what I did see Scotland seemed to cause Spain a lot more problems once Adam went off.

but then Spain also took a midfielder off and stuck another attacker on around the same time. Ramos playing in the centre and the pace of Goodwillie caused them problems.

I’m not disputing that, I was just pointing out that Scotland played their best (most threatening) football when he was off the field, not necessarily because he was off the field.

Maybe Scotland should apply to come out of International football and enter the English Leagues. They would probably be a half decent lower/mid table team in the Championship. If they dropped down to League one you might even occassionally get to see them lose the odd Play Off final.
