Not denying that Carroll hasn't had a bit of a mare at LFC and he must improve, but 99% of the time that header was in the back of the net.

And i wouldn't mind a one trick pony that can win headers in the box and score from set pieces as we have f*ck all players that can actually win headers in opposition box.

He has key elements to his game that can cause nightmares for defenders, he just hasn't shown it too often at LFC, let's hope he does sooner rather than later and in a LFC shirt

Carroll clearly has something and nobody with eyes could fail to see that. He had 8 minutes and nearly scored a winner. Wish he'd had maybe 25 mins.

Don't even need to go back on posts when he signed, but I remember the various predictions of how we would be unplayable in the opposition area, how we would be totally dominating any aerial game etc etc.
Not one sign of it as of yet...........there's still time of course on Andy's side, but he's a million miles away from the player we hoped we had signed.
Can only hope it all comes together ( up front, delivery from the wings, Gerrard coming back into the side to pick out Carroll's runs into the area etc etc), but Andy has to look at how he's handling himself and his form.
Bet you no-one thought Bobby Zamora would be ahead of him in the England pecking order.

Ah i think Adam has done decent for us thus far, i can see why he's not everyones cup of tea but surely you can't deny that he seems to be coming into his own with Lucas in CM? 2 Goals & 6 Assists already ain't too shabby either.

As for Carroll he needs to do more, much more. Hopefully he can get the finger out and start producing. Was great header and a world class save by Hart.

For such a big presence he should be causing mayhem in oppositions box. Few were saying about his positioning and movement in the box being below par to receive the ball, IMO there's some truth in that. But generally i'd have to agree his heading has been poor, his knock ons have been bit aimless (for want of a better word)

He just looked like a different animal at Newcastle, used to put fear in defenders, reminds me of the Duncan Ferguson in that respect.

I made the same point few times before.

His timing is off (jumps lot of times too early) generally and his heading tehnique needs improvement.

That said, his header yesterday was great and he was unlucky not to score.

Yup, and we all take the piss about how Lampard scores 20 deflected goals per season. If Adam can score ten this season like yesterdays then that's good enough for me.
