baitman, sounds daft i know still rating him given that i cant see a quality in him that would fit into a supposed 4-3-3 but last year he was our best midfielder behind gerard. goals and assists he was 2 and 7 last year all in so he has some redeming qualities that maybe just maybe rodgers could get out more consistantly

he contributed well in a team that wasnt finishing off chances so his stats are good. i thought it was a decent first season

dont think he'll fit in this new style of play though

he gives away the ball far to cheaply & Concedes far to many fouls to be considered in a team aiming for top 6+

Regarding the tackle on Bale, It was one of those tackles that commentators refer to as taking one for the team, you bring the man down to stop a quick attack and probably accept your going to get given a yellow card for it. Spurs need to get their heads out of their own arses and just man up and move on. You were not in the Lec, Kris, DanPerkins and Fierce league who told spent the whole thread telling I was amazingly wrong to think Adam was average and attacked me for doing so.

I think most peoples hatred for Bale and Tottenham is clouding their judgement. It was a pretty bad tackle.

coming from the guy that think 99.9% of footballers are ****e, i'll take that with a pinch of salt & attacking you is bit over the top mate, come on.

For the price and his production levels it was good business, but "nobody" expected Adam be a regular first teamer, to play as much as he did and out of position for most of that time too in a role that he cannot do. As far as i'm concerned he was bought as a squaddie, but injuries and no squad depth saw that he played a hell of alot more than he should, same as Henderson & the same as Downing.

So let's not go over the top Matty and suggest that the few of us that weren't suicidal when he signed expcted him to be a superstar

You weren't so bad mate, but a lot of people did expect Adam to be a regular first teamer and even suggested that in a 442 we should play an Adam and Gerrard centre mid.

What is scary about the thread is genuine hope that some had that we'd re-sign Stephen Warnock or that we could sign Nzogbia, Cattermole and Dann. :s
