I think Everton is the most likely destination if it's true that his missus wants to remain in the NW and Everton do have a bit of cash following the sale of Rodwell. I like Adam - think he's a good player, but not quite good enough to be a first team regular for us.

While we slightly overpaid for Adam he does offer goals/assists and dead ball delivery ( even though it was **** for us !!)

I can sort of understand the premium we paid for him and wit would have worked a lot better if Lucas had stayed fit as Spearing is not good enough never mind having to cover for someone else to.

Andy Carroll & Downing are just cluster****s of the highest order and if we recouped half of what we paid I would be delighted.

Sticking my neck on the line here, but I think Downing will be much improved this season. Chances are he will prove me wrong but I think he can do it.

For the first time in a long time vs Bayer Leverkusen I actually liked how Hendo played.

He looked very much offensive minded, linked up very nicely with Adam, Shelvey and Carroll, tracked back and made more forward going passes than in any game of the last year.

Also he didn't have "Is my hair Ok" type of moment not even once which leads me to believe that he is very determined to take advantage of any playing time he gets as he won't be a starter any longer.
