      De Gea ate the donut while still in the store, but as he went to exit, he was accosted by security staff – one of whom spoke fluent Spanish – and brought into a ‘stop and search room’, where he was later released without charge.
      Bollocks..

      Security Guards can hardly speak at the best of times,
      let alone Fluent friggin Spanish!

        The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

          We went to a huge one in Hull and my wife embarrasingly insisted on taking photos of what she called The Wall of Coke - a whole massive wall of the shop was devoted to a displaying cans, another one to packets of corn flakes - presumably the modern equivalent of stained glass windows...

          The one in Hull is great, St Stephens

          The can isle is actually quite an attraction, I've had to take photo's for people stood in front of it before.

            Just to prove that I my life isn't a work of comedy fiction... Unfortunately I can't find the Wall of Coke pic, but here is one of the Wall of Pringles - apparently it's one of the biggest Walls Of Pringles in Europe..

            April 2008 - and it may have been Doncaster rather than Hull - we stayed in both on that particular tour of the North.

                I'd like to add that the Tesco Extra in Chesterfield looks amazing from the outside.

                It's a modern-day Chartres.
                .
                Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

                May the Lord bless this post.

                      I'd like to know why Asda have decided on having a giant pyramid as part of their entrance in all their stores. Are they turning Egyptian?

                          I am sure they have done some calculations on cost of staff etc, but surely those self service checkouts are just a licence to nick stuff?? when you put something in your bag and it doesnt scan the attendants dont give a **** and just key your next thing through.

                          I bought something for £20 amongst a £50 grocery shop and thought it was cheap, checked receipt when I got home and it hadnt scanned.

                          think i might do it again soon
