There's no way Rooney will be left out of the squadOriginally posted by Shanks View PostJust the group stages..
I'm sure England can get through without him, it's just if Capello wants to risk including him in the squad and leaving someone else out..The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

That has to be a misquote.Originally posted by Kenneth View Post1806: FOOTBALL - Former England international Ray Wilkins on Sky Sports News: "It's quite sad. It didn't warrant a one-match ban but slightly more than one. The action by Wayne was totally out of order. He's merited what he's got."
Wilkins talking sense just doesnt compute.

Really is shocking how much the media hype Rooney as England's only hope. Yet they seem to forget he's only scored 3 goals in the past two years for England and 2 of those were tap-ins even Poulsen would have scored. Decided to look at the other players who have scored the same or greater number of goals than Rooney in the past two years.
Crouch x 6
Defoe x 4
Young x 4
Bent x 4
Gerrard x 3
...
Rooney x 3
Pretty sure every one of these has had a lot less minutes on the pitch than Rooney too. Funny how this never gets mention on these Rooney wankfest radio shows. People also seem to forget that whilst the whole England squad were ****e at the WC, Rooney was by far the worst - he couldn't even trap the ball or make an accurate pass.Last edited by Mr Darko; 13-10-11, 06:38 PM.
