I don't really dislike them at all, I just want to put them off their game.Originally posted by Fivex View PostI mean if someone dives at a game, of course I shout "diving ****ing cunt" along with everyone else but nothing that's pre-meditated or bigoted in any way.
You seemed to be saying you insult players because you dislike them, that was my (irrelevant) point.
Racism or bigotry? No way.Was muß, das muß.

The debate definitely deserves more than 7 mins on morning TV. He does incredibly well to make so many articulate points.
He makes some incredibly interesting observations particularly the one about Piers Morgan. He is a product of the protection afforded to the middle class white male. Also that the problem really needing addressing in everyday society as much as it is for celebrities.
I also agree that just because we don’t have racist chanting anymore doesn’t mean we don’t have racists- they just know to be quiet now.Modifying post.

It is fare to say Kitson doesn't get it.Originally posted by ChesterDave View PostTyrone Mings has pulled out of a Talkspite interview after comments by Dave Kitson.
Kitson declared there was no excuse for racism, and he'd be right. But he also said that players make themselves a target, which sounds a little bit like an excuse.

How can a players profile make him a deserved target for racists? The issue has to be the behaviour of the racist, not the behaviour of the player who is abused.
All he is doing is proving the point that we have a long way to go.Modifying post.

That's not what he said. He said flaunting the lifestyle makes them 'a target' , not a target for racism. ie, people dislike him (and others who do it) because of it. And then he says there is no excuse for expressing that as racial abuse. I don't think there is anything controvertial in what he said tbh.Originally posted by Buzzo View PostIt is fare to say Kitson doesn't get it.

There is an inference given the debate is around racism, and the fact that the interpretation of the 'flaunting of lifestyle' has changed dependant on skin colour.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostThat's not what he said. Its not much of a point then in the context of a debate around the racism that exists.Modifying post.
