    Seems like it.

The more people seek a ‘balanced’ debate, the more the racists are entitled.

I don't think there's much wrong with disassociating Sky from specific statements that are potentially political in nature. The presenter's choice of the words 'balanced debate' was a mistake as it wasn't about balance, or a debate. But that's probably why he's presenting a football show, it isn't anticipated that it will require actual journalistic acumen.

            I just don’t think it’s relevant.

Would it be the worst thing in the world if SKY just left Neville’s statement to take root. They could have waited until the end. But to say that just as he finished torpedoed his point.

And given the route football is heading down perhaps they need presenters with an awareness of how to navigate such a discussion.

Football not doing enough to challenge racism says Government doing piss all to challenge Islamaphobia in their ranks.

Interesting. It is, of course, possible that Rudiger was mistaken.

The response on social media to Tom Pope being charged for that tweet shows how far society is from even putting a dent in the racism problem.

'He's not attacking a faith just a particular family' and so on. Even if you haven't seen the tweet I bet you can guess what faith and what family.

It is utter utter bollocks that the guy that racially abused Tammy Abrahams got a 4 year Footballing ban.

But the Newcastle fan that helicoptered his cock when they scored is banned for life.

Racism wont be dealt with until authorities take it seriously, and a start would be to treat it more harshly than a stupid bit of public indecency.

They should both be banned for life.

The Newcastle ban for life is not true, apparently. Certainly not seen it reported in any even half reputable news outlet.

Did feel it was a bit harsh that the 17 year old kid at Bournemouth got a lifetime ban from all football grounds in England for racist chanting though. No chance of rehabilitation for a 17 year old seems excessive.

As someone who has in the last 12 months started to take his kids to football I hope the Newcastle guy gets punished. If we want women and kids to go to the game then this sort of thing is not on.
