If he keeps them up it'll be a hell of story. I think he's lucky-ish insofar as it's the poorest league for years, both at the top and the bottom, but still given everything that's gone on you've got to respect the job he's doing at the moment.

        Looking at Zenden now too.

Steve Kean has confirmed Blackburn Rovers are still trying to agree a deal to sign former Sunderland midfielder Bolo Zenden.

The 35-year-old has been without a club since leaving the Black Cats last summer and recently spent a few days training with Blackburn.

Zenden revealed he had been offered the opportunity to join Rovers' fight for Premier League survival, but was taking his time over a decision.

Championship duo Doncaster Rovers and Leeds United have also been linked with moves to sign the former Netherlands international for the rest of the season.

However, Kean has not given up hope of persuading Zenden to pitch up at Ewood Park as he looks to add some vital experience to Blackburn's bid to beat the drop.

"It's ongoing," said Kean. "We've not tied anything up, but he's not committed to another club."

Just seen on Paddy Power that he's now 14/1 to be the next manager sacked. Unbelievable turnaround!

That's a credit to him to be fair! Still shouldn't be in the job but he has done well to stay in it!

Christ, he's inept isn't he? Baffling tactical decisions. Easy to see why they despise him.

Think thats them gone now, even if they win next week they are away to Chelsea last.

Today was weird - crazily defensive, no shots, nothing. Either the players don't wanna play for him or he's just totally clueless. Or both.

0 - Blackburn have become the first team not to manage a single shot (inc blocks) in a PL game since WBA v Man City in Dec 2004. Blunt.
                  Oh I don't know.

No shots That was a game they really needed to win, and against a side who are struggling for form at the moment, surely in those circumstances you have to 'go for it'
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I know its from the Daily Star so take it with a massive pinch of salt and the title is just wrong but ......

STEVE KEAN has been attacked by a fan at Blackburn’s training ground.

The Rovers boss was stunned when an intruder, who appeared to be drunk, broke into the club’s Brockhall complex and charged towards him during training on Monday.

The offender had to be wrestled to the ground by Kean’s personal bodyguard as shocked players looked on.

A club source told Starsport: “The supporter just appeared from nowhere during the session and was intent on getting at the manager.

“He made a beeline for him and clearly had some things he wanted to get off his chest.

“He didn’t get the chance because one of the manager’s bodyguards got to him first and stopped him, but the players couldn’t believe what they were seeing.

“No-one was hurt or anything but it left them all shook up. It was just symptomatic of the current crisis the club finds itself in at the moment.”

The incident led to the training session being cut short as club staff led the man off the premises, and has raised fresh fears about Kean’s safety.

The Rovers boss has been Public Enemy No.1 with fans this season.

The struggling outfit seem destined for the drop after losing six of their last seven games Rovers are three points adrift of safety with just two games left.

They face a must-win clash with in-form Wigan at Ewood Park on Monday before travelling to Chelsea on the final day of the season.

Defeat to Wigan could see Rovers relegated and leave them facing a financial crisis in the Championship.

Fans staged a protest before the last home game, while Kean was involved in a bust-up with Gael Givet before his side’s recent defeat at Swansea.

Kean was also involved in a clash with Steven N’Zonzi last month.

Several players are understood to have lost faith in their boss’s tactics and training methods.
