I have no idea if you have criticised Carroll before or not. I just get fed up with people knocking him. Yhe fact is we swapped one player for two. The two we have are performing infinately better than the one we got rid of.

With regard to Carroll, he is a young guy. He had a huge price tag on his head. It must weigh heavily on him. He gets negative press and comments from the likes of Capello. If I was in his shoes I would tell Capello to blow his calls ups up his arse.

Like you I hope it works out for him. He is begining to look better. I hope we get some better players in to compliment him. As I dont think Downing and Henderson on the flanks are doing him any favours

Don't want to get into an argument so i'll pretty much leave it but we swapped two for two - Babel and Torres for Suarez and Carroll. Suarez alone has way outperformed Torres, not sure Carroll has tbh.

I actually think Andy could be a very useful weapon for us and offers the squad something different. After the City game last year i thought he was gonna be great for us - this season he's been pretty mediocre and not half as good in the air as i thought. However, as you say he's young and can improve.

I was just commenting on his price tag.
