Shocking news. Guy I work with was mates at school with him, they played in the same school and county sides.

Horrible story, I only hope his family are going to be ok.

Like everyone else I am just so shocked. 42 years old and he had a bright future ahead of him in Management. What a waste.

        RIP.

No, clearly he did, but his mind was so effected that he could'nt see it or feel it at that moment in time.

Tragic and all that but, putting sentiment to one side, if it's true Bellamy isnt playing today i'm not happy. Understandable, but still it directly affects us.

Downing will prob play instead....he better have a belting game.

Shankly was wrong about one thing. Life and death is far more important than football.

Well yeah but people die every minute.

As i said it's tragic for his family, friends (including Bellamy) and it's understandable he doesnt want to play today but doesnt mean i have to be happy about it!!

We're arguably weaker today because of one mans actions last night/this morning.

EDIT: I'd be equally unhappy if he dropped a can of beans on his foot this morning and couldnt play.

Shay Given was in tears after the minutes silence/applause in the Swansea game

                      .

It's certainly, not imo anyway, a case of someone running away and leaving the family to deal with it, not at all, the bloke still did the school run ffs, he cared for his family.

Speculation about Bellamy involvement is insignificant and not the big issue of the day. Perspective please.

Others on this thread would do well to take heed of the above.
