I thought they got Tevez on a bosman?Originally posted by Robbie-9-Fowler View PostDid James Milner really cost £26m?
And Tevez' fee was reported at being closer to £40m in the end wasn't it?

Ah, yeah, I remember.Originally posted by Liverpel View PostI don't think so. Didn't United have the option to sign him for £25m but chose not to. I assume City had to pay that to get him.

City paid, in total, over £30M to get Tevez - a lot of that was to buy his contract from MSI but I think there was some extra money specifically for Joorabchian.
That's why they weren't willing to sell him on the cheap to AC Milan over the summer.Last edited by Captain Stu; 14-02-13, 09:41 AM.

As bad as Mancini is or isn't, a squad that cost in excess of 400 million should never in a million years get a footballing lesson from a squad that cost about 20 odd million. Players should get wages docked for performances like that & not a couple of thousand pounds, I mean docking at least a weeks wages for poor performances like ours against WBA & City's against Southampton. Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

Manchester City are ready to begin a £60million-plus overhaul of their squad with summer moves for Napoli’s Edinson Cavani and Celtic’s Victor Wanyama.
Manager Roberto Mancini and football director Txiki Begiristain have recognised the need to freshen up the under-performing Barclays Premier League champions and will offload at least four players to help satisfy the demands of UEFA’s financial fair play guidelines.
City opened talks over a move for Napoli’s prolific forward Cavani last month and were initially put off by his £52m release clause.

Yeah, it's not like we ever lost a cup final to the likes of Wimbledon, who were a non-league club playing in the first division.Originally posted by Nick77 View PostAs bad as Mancini is or isn't, a squad that cost in excess of 400 million should never in a million years get a footballing lesson from a squad that cost about 20 odd million.
