My boss at work is a United supporter. One of those who probably never actually watches any of the games. He knows I'm a Liverpool fan. He knows Liverpool are top of the league. Yet the day after every game they win he comes bragging to me..."8 in a row now".
It's not just him, there's loads of their supporters in the office that seem delighted with it. Like they're actually "back". It amuses me and I honestly don't mind seeing the illusion extend a little longer. Say they beat PSG (they've got a sniff without Neymar). It won't lead anywhere. I honestly can't see them getting top 4 even though the others are faltering, and I honestly can't see them getting anywhere near winning the Champions League.
The longer Solksjaer does well, the longer they can kid themselves they're back. They might even be forced to offer him the job in the end, which would be amazing
When reality actual hits home, and it will soon enough, it will be all the more enjoyable.Comment

I know that they/Solskjaer have won 8 on the bounce but I still believe that this is due to the massive lift in the atmosphere in the dressing room at Mourinho having gone rather than Solskjaer's tactical genius. Everyone hated Mourinho so much they are desperate to prove that he was the problem, they are putting in that extra effort. Once this has all died down and they move into next season it will be interesting to see if Solskjaer and continue to produce this kind of formThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.Comment

Agree, but also factor in rolling dbf out occasionally to mumble some drunken slurring swear words to motivate/scare the lazy ****s.I know that they/Solskjaer have won 8 on the bounce but I still believe that this is due to the massive lift in the atmosphere in the dressing room at Mourinho having gone rather than Solskjaer's tactical genius. When fergie gets back in the car and leaves i wonder if some if them will ask who the **** that was.removing all the weak links makes us stronger

He's a cheerleader.
I hope he gets the job on a full time basis. He then spunks a few hundred million on ****e during the summer and is chased within 18 months.Comment

As much as 8 out of 8 is a decent little run of form, I'd not want to be playing them on a 11 out of 11 streak... confidence builds confidence, irrelevant of how ****e we all think the their team is. I'd love PSG to gub them and knock the stuffing out of their swagger... and then we dismantle them while they're on the ropes...Comment

They are not a **** team, just badly managed. Pogba, as much of an assbag that he is, play him the right way and he becomes an incredibly dangerous player, add Rashford, Mata, Sanchez, De Gea, into mix and its easy to see why finally they put a run togetherAnybody who criticizes Klopp ever is a James Blunt.
