Funniest thing about McGuire is that he took a noticable step down and seemed happy to do so

He's not enjoying this is he?
He clearly knows he's out of his depth and comes over as a bit embarrassed.
Oh well think of the money.

He probably wanted the sack before now and is having to sit tight and wait until they tire of him. He'll certainly not be in charge next season so not sure why they don't get rid now

They are in contention for a place in the top 4, if they make that I think he'll still be there next season. Whoever is in charge has a big job to get them back in contention for top prizes, from the owners point of view having a club legend in charge buys them time
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

They are but bizarrely seem further away from being able to win the PL than they have for many years. Their size and spending absolutely should have them contending so he's massively underperforming. Great innit

Quote from Gary Neville - August 2019:

I can guarantee you as clear as day, Manchester United will win again. They’ll probably win the league before Liverpool, in my opinion. And that’s not being disrespectful, they’ll probably win the league before Liverpool.
                        Another MASSIVE game

                          Worra plonker he is

I can see where he was coming from. They have experienced winning it and we've experienced not being able to close out from a strong position. But, on the back of becoming European champions, and having just secured more points than Utd ever have in their history, it was a bit silly

                            Absolutely rattled

Just say 'I don't give a **** what RVP thinks'.

He is excruciating to watch as a manager

                              3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Ah... those Mediaeval times... famously when managers used to be able to ‘smile’ after defeat.
