A few manc fans I know are really worries about this season - they haven't signed anybody of note, and fear the Moyes effect as much as loosing the Fergie effect. To be fair to some of the more intelligent ones (relative to other mancs) they are willing to see how he gets on before bringing out the pitchforks.

Me personally, I hope to just sit back and watch the train wreck as it happens.

Among their opening five games will be an Old Trafford meeting with Jose Mourinho's Chelsea and a trip across town to face Manchester City.

Moyes is unhappy with the way the fixtures have come out for his side.

"I find it hard to believe that's the way the balls came out of the bag, that's for sure," said the Scot.

"I hope it's not because Manchester United won the league quite comfortably last year [that] the fixtures have been made much more difficult."

I don't rate Carrick at all, Vidic prior to the injuries was a great player no doubt but he isn't the player he once was.

I do like Hernandez and also Valencia he is an excellent winger but I'm genuinely struggling to think of anyone else

That's why, as much as I hate to say it, Fergie was great at getting average players to gel & play well as a team. There is no way Gollum will be able to do that imo...
