Apparently, according to ChatGPT, at end May '23 we had about a thousand full time staff. 700 admin/commercial/other, 240 players and coaching staff and 70 ground staff.

Another 2,000 or so part-time & match-day staff on top of that.

One of the arguments for the higher number is the higher level of activities that come with a larger brand - not sure how much I buy that argument to be honest (assumes no scale benefits at all) but the optics are terrible, just a week after disclosing they spent 4.5m quid getting rid of their old sporting director
