There's a few more quotes here:Originally posted by Sarb View PostRoy Keane is going to kick them in the nuts tomorrow

Keane said of Ferguson, now a director at United: "Everything is about control and power. He's still striving for it now even though he's not manager. There's massive ego involved in that."
Keane, who left United in 2005 after a fall-out with Ferguson, was speaking in an ITV4 documentary called 'Keane and Vieira: The Best of Enemies' which airs on Tuesday night concerning his rivalry with former Arsenal captain Patrick Vieira.
He said that his relationship with the former United boss is now "non existent".
Asked by presenter Gabriel Clarke what Ferguson’s biggest strength was, Keane replies: “He’s ruthless.” Asked for a weakness, he responds: “Loyalty.”
Clarke also asks him who was the best manager he played under. Keane answers: “Without a doubt Brian Clough.” Clarke persists: Not Sir Alex?” And Keane responds: “You asked me the question, I answered you.”
Asked whether he was surprised by Ferguson’s critique of him in his memoirs, Keane says: “No nothing surprises me with that man.”
Insiders believe Keane chose this opportunity to retaliate against Ferguson and does not plan to keep firing back.
The Irishman even took issue with Ferguson praising him in his recently released autobiography for "covering every blade of grass" in the 1999 Champions League semi-final second leg against Juventus.
Keane added: "Stuff like that almost insults me. I get offended when people give quotes like that about me. It's like praising the postman for delivering letters."
Keane admitted he had cried in his car when his United career came to an abrupt end over a candid interview he gave to the club's in-house television station criticising his team-mates.
He said: "Of course I was upset: I did shed a few tears in my car for about two minutes.
"But I also told myself I had to get on with my life.
"I walked out with nothing, I had no club lined up and I was injured.
"I told David Gill I had been injured playing for Man United.
"I could have played for Manchester United easily for another couple of years."
Keane laughed off the furore surrounding the infamous MUTV interview and said he felt the row between Ferguson and then club director John Magnier over the stud rights to racehorse Rock of Gibraltar had to have had a "negative effect" on the club.
Keane said: "I managed the dressing room: that was my job.
"If people didn't think (the Rock of Gibraltar row) had a negative effect on the club then they are in cuckoo land."
Keane said Ferguson's strongest trait was his "ruthlessness", while labelling "loyalty" his biggest weakness.
Keane also defends David Beckham who was sold by Ferguson to Real Madrid: “You don’t win league titles by having choir boys in the dressing room. And all these boys did challenge the manager in different ways. Becks did challenge him. If you marry a certain woman, is that challenging the manager?
"The manager has to understand that and say – listen we’ve got different personalities in the dressing room, but maybe that’s why we’re winning trophies.
“The biggest compliment I could pay him is that he always had a good feel for what the group needed, whether it was a team talk, or if a player stepped out of line. He generally got it right."
The type of player I was, I would sometimes push boundaries with people, I would generally want the best, Sometimes I would go overboard. I think I got it right nine times out of 10, and that’s not a bad average.”
And now Ferguson has retired, Keane revealed he and his son have season tickets at Old Trafford.
That rug really tied the room together.

whilst it's great to read....why is all this **** coming out now?
it's because people where far too scared to print what they wanted about united/ferguson for fear of getting banned. We knew it would happen, once he went and lost that fear factor, slowly bit by bit people are coming out and speaking out against himi own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Fergie was an unbelievable manager.. probably the best ever, but he was a dick. Keane was an unbelievable player.. probably one of the best midfielders ever to play in England, but he was and still is a dick.
Keane really is a bitter, angry bloke. He has somehow managed to be apart of the Irish national team again.. after completely ****ing us over, so probably best if he shuts up for once

Keane is really growing on me

Understand why the Irish lads can't stand him. Doesn't affect or bother me though. I just love seeing him slaughtering United, their fans and that Ferguson cunt.

That Keane v Vieira documentary should be good. Their rivalry was incredible. Pretty much the only time I can remember adrenaline pumping for non LFC games. Those Utd-Arsenal clashes were immense. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

It's exactly how I see it. Fergie is a massive dickhead. Anytime someone has a go at him, there's always a nod in agreement from me.
