Maybe they want the Liverpool approach of last year. Score as many as you can with a dodgy defence and see where it takes you.

One year loan deal at around 20 odd million.

          Can he play centre back?

but our defence was just a bit dodgy and prone to a couple of errors

their defence is ****ing wank and has no support from midfield

they've splashed the cash and will be spending a ridiculous amount of money a week on four or five players

if they don't sort out their defence though, they won't make the top 4 and surely that's got to hurt them big time

Also where do they stand on FFP? - i know they generate a lot but they're spending is ridiculous
I dont get where they play the players they have bought

                    They have for attacking positions

Falcao, RVP, Rooney, Mata & Di Maria, with Young and Valencia as back up

@ lecter - and januzaj - he looks a cracking player but surely now he drops down the pecking order, certainly behind falcao/rvp/rooney/mata/di maria

valencia and young will be ok though - they're converting to full back

They broke the news that he was signing for £50m, then within 2 minutes they decided it was a loan deal instead. They were so keen to be the first to release the story they decided to not even get their story correct.

Give them their due, they checked with their "sauces" at Old Toilet and confirmed "We now believe it is a loan and not as earlier reported"

It really does look like a complete mess. I give it three months before unrest starts, they'll need to change systems soon and that will cause some media stir as well. Also think that Januzaj's development will stall this season. I forgot him as well, they really have a bloated squad.

It could take them months to find the right balance/formation. By that point they could be way behind.

The key point though is for financial reasons they can't afford to fall way behind though, they need Champions League to bankroll the club.

They are taking a massive gamble this year on getting back into the Champions League and as things stand I'd say Chelsea, City, us and Arsenal will take some catching. I don't fancy their chances at all!
