Di Maria looks every bit the £60m player. But he's just one man. Not really impressed with Rojo, Blind and Herrera as a defensive unit just yet. Can't wait 'til they face Leicester and Ulloa.

Leicester won't stand off and allow Utd to do what they want like QPR did.

Nope, that was some of the worst defending Ive seen in the Prem. They didn't want to have the ball at all it seemed. Bizarre.

QPR will be going down based on that performance.
        *Except Michael, who died.

Lots of lauding Blind and Herrera on Redcafe. Good, hopefully their second pre-season trophy will keep them blinded before they realise Herrera and Blind aren't really that good and they desperately need Strootman and Vidal in January.

By which time they'll be fighting with QPR to stay up.

I think they are both decent.

Blind sitting in front of the defence is exactly what they need but the defence itself still looks ropey.

I thought Blind's reading of the game was actually very good. And his passing is neat and tidy, with rare examples of excellent. However, he was not pressed, looked incredibly slow to turn when needed and will not offer decent strength protection as a 1 in front of any back four.

Yes the defence (and now the goalie) look very ropey. De Gea's confidence is finally shot with the rubbish he's had in front of him for over a year.

Yeah. Hard to tell if they will be any good with ;arry and QPR turning up and bending over for them. Tougher tasks ahead for the Manchester Globetrotters.

The BBC say they 'thrashed QPR'.

Everyone's smiling. They must be back

The BBC seem to be referring to this team as "The Gaalacticos"

Oh, and the Gossip Column says they are signing Hummels. I thought he had already signed (twice)?

I wouldn't bet against them signing Hummels in the January transfer window. Van Gaal didn't seem to be impressed by his back line judging by his post match interview.

All the snippets on the radio, news bulletins and internet seem to be running out of superlatives for a Manchester United team that beat QPR. A **** QPR. At home. It's toe-curlingly embarrassing.
