Yeah it's possible, I think it's pretty likely Madrid will rock up with an obscene amount of cash for him in the summer.
Would he go there though, being a former Atletico man.
They don't need to sell though, check out Swiss rambles overview of their finances, it's ****ing depressing how much cash they have coming in.

He looked good at his last club due to all the possesion type football they played. Thinking on, that makes the Mig look even worse....Then we deserve to have Mignolet and Jones as our goalkeepers if we're turning our noses up at Valdes. He's been an outstanding goalkeeper for Barcelona. He's one of the most commanding goalkeepers out there, and he's very strong on crosses. With the exception of Neuer and Courtois, he's been the best goalkeeper from the rest of them. It's scandalous to see Valdes and Mignolet as equals. His footballing attributes are superb. It's only how he may perform after such a long injury which should be called into question.Originally posted by Jaco_Pastorious View PostTend to agree with this. If we had him he would be getting slaughtered for not being a commanding keeper and he is no better on crosses and the like than Mignolet.
He has a bigger reputation than our keeper, but would not see him as an upgrade.

The rest of the goalkeepers in the world would be very average if Valdes was the third best in the world.
I would rate the likes of ter Stegen, Leno, Mandana, Cech, De Gea, and Lloris far higher than Valdes and that is just to name six.
Have seen nothing from Valdes in recent years that suggests he is even close to being what he was five or six years ago. Yes he has had some outstanding moments for Barca, but in recent years those moments seem to have become the exception rather than the norm.
If we are replacing Mignolet I would prefer to see us go after a keeper that is a serious upgrade and not just get a guy who used to be good a few seasons ago.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

in his prime he was at barca what mignolet is at us now - a joke.Originally posted by Phoenix07 View PostThen we deserve to have Mignolet and Jones as our goalkeepers if we're turning our noses up at Valdes. he had good reflexes and is/was a good shot stopper but every other part of his game was mediocre at best. i'll give you that he's better with the ball at his feet than mignolet but that's not saying much.Last edited by SK; 07-01-15, 10:09 PM.Jürgen Klopp
