@SkyFootball: Pedro and Manchester United 'agree personal terms' - a deal looks to be close. More here: http://t.co/cOPzxhnPyZ http://t.co/DzjLeb9hsJ

Manchester United new boy Bastian Schweinstieger has given an in-depth interview on his life in England so far with a German newspaper.

Contained within the exclusive interview, titled 'My new life in England', with Bild is the usual stuff top level footballers say - he wants to win the title, playing under Louis van Gaal again is 'exciting' and overcoming the likes of Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea will be tough.

But the 31-year-old World Cup winner also gave a little insight into life inside the dressing room of a top level football club.

Recounting the moment he first arrived at the club, his anecdote reads like a scene from hit TV show The Inbetweeners.

"The English have a special sense of humour," he told Bild. "This I immediately experienced in the dressing room. As I walked with two plates while eating, suddenly a team-mate asked me 'Basti, what time is it?' – Hoping I would automatically turn my hand to look at my watch.

            "That’s quite entertaining."
That rug really tied the room together.

Sounds like a right laugh in that dressing room. :-/

I think Manchester Utd are starting to discover what it's like when you slip even briefly out of contention in this era of mega-clubs.

The money they've wasted on absolute **** in recent years yet they screw up paying peanuts for Pedro!

                              "Ended their interest"

Perhaps they need to adjust their policy as thats Fabregas, Bale, Cavani, Muller (oh no, wait theyve started that one again), Pedro, Lewandowski and about a million others they wanted but "ended their interest" in.

They are blatantly going to throw a load of money at someone they cant fit in near the end of the window.

Be magic if they don't get in another forward but they must have someone lined up.

Either that or the long hoof to Felaini will be getting a regular outing.
