Defender Jonny Evans has escaped punishment by the FA over an off-the-ball incident involving West Bromwich striker Markus Rosenberg.

The incident occurred during Sir Alex Ferguson’s final game in charge of Manchester United on Sunday.

The match finished 5-5 after West Brom struck three times in the final 10 minutes, twice through Romelu Lukaku and once through Youssouf Mulumbu, to secure an impressive point having trailed 5-2.

Punches him in the face. That cunt Evans goes round double-footing people, putting people out for 12 months, punching them in the face and yet he is never ever punished. Biggest ****house in the league him. I hate him.

How can he escape punishment for that?!

Oh, it's the FA of course.

Not even remotely surprised despite that being as blatant as you can get.

True he broke our league titles record and he deserves credit for that but in Europe he never came close.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Let's get it trending on Twitter. The embarrassment and worldwide exposure will force the FA's hand.

                        Like they would care.

For some reason I don't need to open the Arn files again.

If you look at the Man U games then you could easily find at least 20 red cards not given. All of them clear cut red cards. They got 0.

RvP could easily got at least seven or eight. Scholes at least as many and Evans a few.

Former Manchester United and England defender Brian Greenhoff has died, aged 60.

Greenhoff made 271 appearances for the Red Devils and won 18 caps for his country.

Born in Barnsley, Greenhoff joined United in 1968 and was part of the United team that won the Second Division title in 1975.

Two seasons later he won the FA Cup, playing alongside brother Jimmy in the Wembley triumph over Liverpool.

Greenhoff subsequently moved to Leeds, where he stayed for three years, before ending his career at Rochdale, where he was living after returning to England from Spain.

A statement released to the Manchester Evening News by Greenhoff's family said: "We regret to inform of Brian's passing this morning, Wednesday 22nd May at the age of 60.

"Brian was a proud and much-loved brother, husband of Maureen, father of Paul, Brian and Peter, grandfather to Jack, James and Harry and will be sorely missed by his family, who he made very proud in his distinguished life and career."
That rug really tied the room together.
