My Mrs' cousin was telling my son to support Utd as it's THE only team to support

I had to interject and say 'My son is not going to support a mid-table side'

See less and less Utd shirts out and about now. Their glory hunting fans will not know how to cope with this

In all seriousness this potential demise could not have been better timed. My lad's best mate at school is United, his whole family are rabid United, we live in Manchester. My lad is quite impressionable at the moment and is a bit obsessed with his bezzie. Someone said "Manchester United" on TV the other week and my lad said "They're the best team Daddy".

We then had a long and serious chat.

But Moyes has done all hard work for me. I've showed him the league table, how LOW United are, how high we are. Every time he knows I'm watching football..."did Liverpool win Daddy?"

                "YES we won"

"Yessssss! Did Manchester United lose again?"

                "YES! They lost again son."

                "Yessss!"

Now he's going to school and getting the upper hand over his United obsessed mate. Phew. Thank **** for that.

We've had to suffer for years. Places where I've worked have always had Utd fans. Used to be a nightmare going into work sometimes. I'm glad they're getting some now. They must feel like how we felt when we got Hodgson

It's good when kids are at the age where you can influence them into who to support, pretty easily. My son will only support Liverpool. Mrs is an Arsenal fan as is her brother. They want my daughter to be an Arsenal fan. I told them to not even ****ing bother trying

                      Great answer.

Sarf London always saw more 'Pool shirts than manure. Even while they were winning league numbers 17, 18, 19 and 20. There is going to be such a temporal shift now that they'll have to kill off the next new Doctor Who just to explain it.

Its weird, Colchester has a HUGE liverpool contingent. I used to be part of Essex Reds. Used to travel up to games all the time. There was even a specific Liverpool pub in the town centre that used to be packed out on match days.

Watched the 2007 CL final in there and it was the next best thing to being there I think. Was absolutely rocking.

I dont know how this is relevant.
                        *Except Michael, who died.

One year earlier mate and it could have been a disaster

The potential outcome doesn't bear thinking about!!

I reckon a lot of Indians in the UK support Liverpool. Not sure why, but we seem to have quite a big indian following here (probably the sucess of the 70's and 80's). The newer generations have started to lean towards Utd though, the glory hunters

He's met Fergie and the players, taken a tour of Old Trafford and posed wearing the shirt... but Brazilian teenager Bruno Gomes is the latest star to snub United move By Adam Crafton

Manchester United have missed out on signing long-term target Bruno Gomes, after the striker declared that he has agreed to join Internacional.

The Brazilian 17-year-old, who plays for youth club Desportivo Brasil, has visited United’s AON Training Complex on a number of occasions over the last two years and it is believed that Sir Alex Ferguson ensured that United secured first refusal on Gomes once he turned eighteen.

Gomes was one of the players involved in a partnership between Desportivo Brasil and Manchester United.

VIDEO: Scroll down to watch United target Bruno Gomes banging in the goals

The agreement allows the club’s finest young talent to travel to Manchester twice a year, while United’s coaches based in Brazil visit Desportivo twice a month to monitor their progress.

Gomes has attracted the attention of Real Madrid and Udinese in the past twelve months after netting over 100 goals in the last three years for Desportivo Brasil but his first choice has always been United, who have invested significantly in his development.

However, despite extended early interest, United grew increasingly uncertain, with the players’ father understood to have been pushing for a lucrative offer.

It now seems Gomes is set to remain in Brazil, after the striker took to Twitter to confirm the move.

Writing from his @B9official account: ‘Thanks MUFC fans for all, but, now I’m Red from southern Brazil - Sport Club Internacional!!!’
