Another thing to consider as well. There must be a reason why Mourinho would be prepared to let him go. Think he's the kind of player that would require a whole system to be built around him. Won't happen at Chelsea because of the way Mourinho builds his teams around defensive ethos and wouldn't fit in ours because we have Suarez and Sturridge on which our team is built around.

He'd be more of an asset to United, all things considered.

If you think Coutinho is better than Mata then I have no words.

He'd be a massive upgrade on him as things stand and Phil would learn from him and up his game.

I don't see where he fits at united either cos they play with wingers,its why Kagawa can't get a start,unless they are selling Rooney of course and are planning ahead.

Pretty ****ing annoying if they do sign Mata as I was hoping for a complete and glorious death spiral but this might inject a bit of impetus this season.

Oh well it's still speculation right now so let's not get too sad about it. Even if he does sign, they're managed by a clueless potato with no attacking or world class player management skills. Totally out of his depth.
