NEWS THAT LOUIS van Gaal is set to become the next Manchester United manager have been reported worldwide over the past couple of days.
And bizarrely, Australian newspaper mX have mistaken the Dutch manager for actor Ian Smith, aka Harold Bishop from Neighbours.
What’s that Alex Ferguson once called Manchester City…?

That rug really tied the room together.

Hmmm, it's weird though, lots of people seem to be of the opinion that utd will back and fighting for the big trophies, Champions league every season, and that we are just a flash in the pan!Originally posted by Leyton388 View PostSure he will. I'm sure he'll go to a none CL club when not so long ago telling Luis to leave us due to lack of CL football.
I've lost count of the times i've heard someone say how this is our best chance at the title for like; Ever!
As if we're going to slope back into mediocrity and not being able to consistantly qualify for Champs league or be able to challenge for Titles!
grrrrr!
edit: I do think though, that when these players talk of 'Champions league clubs', they tend to mean clubs that qualify consitently season in season out, with maybe the odd slip here and there.
Of course there has been huge change at utd, and that could have an effect on players feelings as to how long they take to get back up there, but i'm willing to bet that most players assume it wont be a long term abscence, whereas with us in recent years they maybe didn't.Last edited by Vermilion; 02-05-14, 09:17 PM.
