Moyes mentioned in the same article that he'd turned down two jobs and thought his ten years at Everton and his success in the Champions League with Manchester United should secure him another role at a team competing in, or for, Champions League football.

So from that, I agree with Leyton that Celtic didn't come calling and Brighton is his level.
