Manchester United are preparing to join Arsenal in the hunt to sign Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema, 27, who is valued at around £40m. (Guardian)
United boss Louis van Gaal has also placed Barcelona full-back Dani Alves, 32, on a shortlist of potential defensive recruits this summer. (Daily Telegraph)
