I'm not saying it's impossible, just improbable. Better players normally win out.
I don t believe that they do have a far better squad than us...............perhaps I'm still in denial here but honestly even with recent additions they still have a lot of work to do before they are a shoe-in for top 4. Schneiderlin should fit straight away but others will take time to adjust and we should not under estimate the loss of De Gea if and when it happens.

For us, much depends on our next buy and have a feeling the same goes for them having lost RVP.

Damn, they were a crock of **** for the most part last season and I still can't fathom out how they made top 4. CL and significant squad changes will come to bear this season......I'm hoping we're close enough to pounce.

Plus, never underestimate the impact of the Bogdan signing

Manure, however, are still there to be shot down and are the most likely to drop out of the top four (IMHO) given that they are still the subject of a considerable overhaul and will be gelling a lot of players in next season...............plus they are still ****

On that basis and given that we can get another striker (15-20 goal man) in why wouldn't we be a top 4 shout?
Europa league will scupper any faint hopes we have of top 4.

Winning it may be a backdoor into CL in that case

Schweinsteiger to Man Utd feels a bit like the Ballack to Chelsea move - he's clearly past his best, but was some footballer in his prime. He'll be on massive money and will be a squaddie for them, he's a few years younger than Carrick as well - its nuts how reliant they've been on him over the last few years. Don't mind admitting I would have loved to have seen a proper world star like Schweini at Liverpool, but the consolation is they've signed him late on in his career after he's won everything.

Schneiderlin will be a better signing for them I reckon.

I've been pleased with are business so far....but still feel we lack something in midfield....which would take that bit of pressure of our defence...I'd have loved schweinstieger and schniderlin here....doubt we could have got either but imagine swapping those two for Lucas and Allen. Not that I've got much against them but for me it would transform our squad imo if we had

              Henderson
              Milner
              Schweinstieger
              Schniderlin

Crazy stat: Van Gaal has spent more on transfers in one year at Man Utd (c.£200m) than Ajax ... in their history.

Yet I bet their fans will still moan about their rich neighbours buying the title.

Tbf. I think that holds true for most of top 5-6 teams in the PL! Just shows how ridiculous amount of money is present in the league.

                              Lloris has broken his wrist.

Might see them more determined to hold on to De Gea if Lloris is less desirable now.
