They didn't score anywhere near enough goals last season so their answer in the transfer window is to.......weaken their attack further. Amazing. Their league season will be over in new year so at least they can go all out for the Europa.

Can't believe they've sold him and probably won't replace him. He might be wank when it comes to elite level but he's a quality flat track bully who guarantees 20 a season against the dross.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Always nice to be quoted and without even a Shaggy addition

It does mean Rashford gets his chance up front and Martial will get more game time, which is probably better for them in the tough games.

He has a point. A lot of chairmen seem to be valuing players out of moves which may/may not suit them. E.g. we sold Suarez, Sterling and Coutinho and arguably become a better team. Although any transfer business has risk.

This McGuire media love in is utterly sickening
One game against a team lead by an attacker who played in the Championship last season and he's already been declared as the best CB on the history of the game ever.

Can't wait until he gets eviscerated

British Press mentality is to build a player up so they can shoot him down at a later date. We're still in the "build up" phase now, so won't have to wait too long before the guns come out.

It will soon be panto season for the ugly sisters Jones and Macguire

                          Phil Neville

It was a good win, we can all agree. But what a way to begin by saying you are not going to get carried away and then go on to do just that.

The feel-good factor is back at Old Trafford, and this time there are some reasons why it could last.

I'm not getting carried away by the margin of Manchester United's 4-0 win over Chelsea - the scoreline did not reflect the game until the Blues collapsed towards the end.

Right up until when United scored their third and second goals in quick succession, in the 65th and 67th minutes, things were pretty even and Chelsea had some very good chances.

But what I saw on Sunday was a Manchester United team that looked like they had a spirit of togetherness, a set system - and also the right players to execute that plan.

It is very early days, but the £80m United spent on Harry Maguire already looks worthwhile, because of the effect he has had on the rest of the team.

Being realistic, looking at the quality of Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham, then United are not going to win the league.

But, on this evidence, fourth place looks very attainable and, while there is such a clear direction and also a focus on youth, then United fans will go with that whether this team is successful or not.

                            Three words: One. ****ing. Game.
All the hype around Maguire and United is sickening... even Ferdinand saying the title is over because City won by more than we did. ****ing hell, he's a knob.

Carra was doing my head in on co-commentary yesterday saying Maguire was the best CB in the league at bringing the ball out. Erm, nope. He's not.

I actually heard Simon Jordan on Talk****e saying something sensible which was more accurate than all these so called pundits... he said 'It wasn't about about how good United were but just how easily and quickly Chelsea collapsed' - spot on.

I think us playing on the Friday night meant everyone completely forgot about us in the Saturday and Sunday games and just referenced City steamrollering West Ham. Out of sight out of mind.

I thought this game said more about Chelsea than United tbh, Chelsea were poor in the final third and played very open, Mason Mount is not ready at all, Zouma is not top 6 material either, their whole midfield was very average.

Pogba's assists aside, I thought he looked a bit heavy too.

He'll be labelled as better than Van Dijk within a few weeks, I can see it.

Let them have it though. Happy for all the attention to be off our defence and let us concentrate on getting some clean sheets again like last season.
