          They're building an impressive team.

Be interesting to see how good this lad is. He's a France regular and they have loads of centre back options. Let's hope he's ****.

They have excellent players led by a mediocre manager. Let's hope they don't appoint a Tuchel level player in the next season or two.

Did someone say Varane was slow?

Hats off to them. They've been patient with what is a relatively inexperienced manager during some tough periods, and they're also investing heavily in the squad.

For all the critics OGS has, he seems to be improving each season, so I'm not completely convinced he'll be **** forever.

He has six assistant managers. I’m not sure how much of the management he actually does tbh.

Just taking those that do the actual senior coaching on the training pitch, Klopp has himself, Lijnders and Kraweitz with Achterberg being the goalkeeping coach.

At United for senior on pitch training, Solskjær has Phelan as his assistant coach, Carrick, McKenna and Dempsey as First team coaches along with Hartis and Alverez as goal keeping coaches. Nicky Butt has some sort of first team development role as well.

They are building a decent young squad having previously spent lots of money on mediocre **** (reminds me of the early Fergie years). However, player for player, we currently have a better first 11 (albeit an ageing one).

Should the Varane deal be completed as expected, United will have spent just short of £400m on players since Solskjaer was appointed manager on a permanent basis in March 2019.

That eclipses the outlay of Manchester City (£298m), Chelsea (£262m), Tottenham (£255m) Arsenal (£243m) and Liverpool (£119m) in the same period

Think if you put their best XI up beside our best XI, I would only take one of their players to start in our team. Would take a few of their squaddies over ours though.

I did the same with City's best XI yesterday and I had included Kane and Grealish in their XI and I only had two, maybe three of their XI getting into our XI.

Big difference between us and City though is their depth of real quality. A lot of their back ups are genuine first team quality for most teams in Europe whereas a number of ours are a massive step down from our starters.
