I wonder if they are looking at Martinez to play as a DM or even as a sweeper.

Have no idea how good he is as an actual CB though in terms of playing in a better league.

Though Kounde is only an inch taller than him afaik and he is pretty good in the air so maybe Martinez is one of those rare shorter players that can excel at CB at a high ish level.

Apparently Ten Hag didn't rate him as a DM at. Ajax but UTD haven't h ad a decent DM for years so maybe he's changed his thinking.
