What the manc supporters are failing to realise is that they have had the money there to buy whomever, regardless of where it came from. The simple fact is they spent it horribly and even if they got shiny new owners with deep pockets, it wouldnt make difference as they've been spending massive amounts anyways... just making a balls of it. Mismanagement of funds would be the same no matter who owns the club. They've ****ed it and are looking for someone to point the finger at.

He was literally on the verge of signing for City. He must absolutely despise SAF/DBF for making him change his mind.Originally posted by Irishnev View PostModifying post.

We nearly won the Champions League with Hicks and Gilett. It's just another excuse for his mate Ole - "no-one can succeed there with these owners".Originally posted by BootRoom View PostNeville is an over-emotional, clueless tit; he said that it's down to the Glazers that the mancs are a 'failing business', yet 2 minutes later tried to downplay the money that has been spent on transfers because it was generated by the "commercial success" of the club and not out of the owners' own pocket. The self-entitlement is off the charts with the cunt.

The Glazers took over in March 2003, they won the league that year and 5 times since, they won the CL as well, all under Ferguson. So it is possible to be successful with these owners, the problem is on the football side. Look at their big money transfers:Originally posted by calvoboy View PostWe won the Champions League with Hicks and Gilett. Mata £38m
Di Maria £59m
Martial £57m
Pogba £93m
Lindelof £40m
Lukaku £90m
Fred £60m
Wan Bissaka £50m
Maguire £80m
Fernandes £68m
van de Beek £40m
Sancho £73m
Varane £41m
Martinez £55m
That's almost £850m and it's difficult to argue that anything more than Fernandes has been a success so far. With that money they could have built a successful team but those players were either bought at way over the odds or the manager wasn't able to fit them into a system (or both). Based on our experience with H&G I can understand what it's like having **** owners but they are worlds away from the ownership situation we had. They are still one of the top spending clubs in world football.Last edited by Exiled_red; 14-08-22, 07:47 AM.The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
