There is definitely an apparent disproportionate number of Manchester United players facing accusations but in more broader terms men are the problem. You only have to look on social media to see how many come out to bat for abusers. Not just footballers but musicians, actors, 'influencers' [sick in mouth a little at using that word] or just generally any bloke who makes the news for accusations.

“In order to safeguard the alleged victim, the player, the Brazilian national team and the CBF, the organization informs that Antony has been removed from the Brazilian national team”.Originally posted by Cormack74 View PostThere's a pattern here . .
Manchester United and Brazil winger Antony is being investigated by Greater Manchester Police over claims he attacked his former girlfriend.
Gabriela Cavallin claims she was headbutted and punched by Antony in a Manchester hotel room the day after United’s 2-1 victory over Manchester City on January 14 that resulted in a cut to her head and a breast implant being damaged.
Cavallin said she received treatment from an English doctor in her room at the Hyatt Regency hotel in Manchester following the alleged attack. The news is the latest controversy to surround United and comes just a fortnight after the club announced Mason Greenwood was to leave the club despite charges of attempted rape, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and controlling and coercive behaviour against Greenwood were dropped by the Crown Prosection Service
In an interview with the Brazilian website UOL, which was published on Monday and included photographs and screenshots of messages, Cavallin also alleged that she suffered a cut finger while trying to protect herself after accusing Antony of throwing a glass cup at her.
That incident is alleged to have occurred at a house on May 8, the day after United lost 1-0 to West Ham in London.
Cavallin, 23, who is an influencer and DJ, claims she was subjected to a series of attacks by Antony between June last year and May this year.
She alleges she was first attacked by Antony on June 1 2022 while she was pregnant on holiday and claimed the 23-year-old United player threatened to throw her out of a moving car at speed.
Sao Paulo Civil Police are currently investigating Cavallin’s claims after she filed a report to them in June accusing Antony of “domestic violence, threat and bodily injury”. Cavallin also filed a separate complaint to Greater Manchester Police (GMP).
In a statement to Telegraph Sport on Monday, GMP said: “Greater Manchester Police is aware of the allegations made and enquiries remain ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding this report. We will not be commenting any further at this time.”
Antony – who joined United from Ajax in an £85.5 million deal in September last year, which made him the world’s 13th most costliest player at the time – denies any wrongdoing.
In a statement posted on his Instagram on June 28, the Brazil winger said he had been “falsely accused of assault”.

I dont think its strictly fair to say its as cut and dry as this.Originally posted by red g View Post“In order to safeguard the alleged victim, the player, the Brazilian national team and the CBF, the organization informs that Antony has been removed from the Brazilian national team”.
Over to you United.
As far as I can see its allegations with whatsapp messages and photos of an injured hand? Its simple for Brazil to do this, because he isnt worth anything to them from a monetary POV and there isnt a competition to worry about. Its easy to want all accused people to be punished like this, but I dont think its always the right thing.
Seen it compared to the Greenwood situation too, but I dont think its fair to compare that either, because there isnt so much compelling evidence of Antony being a ****house past some horrible texts.*Except Michael, who died.

I don't expect Man Utd will do anything until he's charged with something (if he ever is). As Alex says doesn't seem to be comparable to the Greenwood situation - at least with the information that seems to be in the public domain, (the amount and type of info that was in the public domain about Greenwood made that situation almost unique) that's not to say anything about the seriousness of this situation or the allegations made here. I suspect this would play out more 'normally' than the Greenwood situation (unless more stuff is released) with him carrying on playing.
It does put Man Utd in a difficult position because if anything comes of the allegations charges or more then Man Utd's handling of the situation will be under the spotlight given what has very recently happened with GreenwoodThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I think itll be more like a Partay situation, where the player is dealing with it in the background.*Except Michael, who died.

Don't think video and audio footage as proof of things done to women matter a jot to a certain section of society. Excuses will just be made to let the likes of Greenwood off the hook.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

the footage is more of an indictment than a guilty verdict, more visibkle of what this sort of thing looks like. Typically you only have verdict not actual footage. Not that there is much chance of a guilty verdict in such cases.
Man U need to sort out there due diligence on the personalities of the people involved in the first team. 2 domestic abusers in one squad is a disgrace to them as an organsiation.
