      Sickening.

Was reading an article on the back of Conte’s ‘Mourinho and Guardiola buy winning teams’ comment and although the author conceded that Conte spent £120m in the summer (about £20m less than City), he highlighted that they clawed back £60m in January through the sale of Oscar, as if this was some sort of managerial masterstroke.

No doubt once they get £250m for Costa this summer, the narrative next year will be that Conte has work marvels on a shoestring budget and compare his NET spend to rival managers.

Government should tax these Chinese transfers, work out what a true players value is and put the rest towards the National budget. That Oscar transfer for example could have scooped them about £40m.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

These Chinese mega money transfers stink. No way they're 100% above board. All kinds of money laundering/tax dodging/backhanders going on IMO.

I'm just pissed they don't want any of our donkeys! Balotelli, Benteke and Bogdan for £150m would have been splendid.

Do you reckon that is what all the clubs in South America think when European clubs come calling and spend millions.

Sounds like we don't like someone having more money than us for a change.

Lot of my mates moaning about why would they want to go to China . surely all these Brazillians didn't dream of playing for Chelsea or City etc.

Money will always be the motivating factor if you ask me and bet when Sky cash cow dies they will be off to another league straight away.

I guess the difference is that leaving South America for Europe is seen as being either a move to the top level of the sport or part of the journey there. China is still a backwater in terms of competitive football. It'll be interesting to see how they do in terms of improving the standard over the next few years.

Lucky with injuries but that aside, 100% best/most consistent team this season

Deserved and Conte's Chelsea is definitely easier to like than Mourinho and his band of cunts (even if Terry is still there in the fringes).

Still hate seeing Chelsea win titles though.
