I think we did really well to get shot of him and Coutinho. We got the best years out of each of them.

What is this madness. He’s a severely limited player, the main limitation being that he has the shooting technique of an under 9’s player. His city career largely consisted of fluffing huge changes and back post tap ins as city walked the ball into the goal. Comparisons with Mane are ridiculous imo.

Sterling had huge potential and he became a very good player for a 4-5 years but he could have been and should still be now at 29, a better player than he is showing.

Surely he will be sold overseas or end up at crystal palace as Olises replacement now.

I know that they have quite alot of first team(/squad) players who will only need to be registered in the youth list, but how do you get the rest into the 25 man registered squad? Surely players who aren't in that have to move on either on loan or permanently

Chelsea spent over 160m this summer just so they could start the season using the same players as last season.

Chelsea had the archetypal player who stayed for the money on his contract in Winston Bogarde.

So its quite bold to be giving loads of players massive, long contracts and then to simply sell them when they're deemed surplus to requirements.

I've been watching their business with curious bewilderment. Two things are clear, it's not working and it's incredibly risky and bold.
