We're comparing todays Lampard with Meireles. It's like comparing Agger with Carra, both excellent but which one would you want in your team today?

Has Lampard still got the legs? has he still got that control, has he still got that motivation? On top of that is he one of the 'senior players' contradicting the manager?

agger obviously, but it's a nonsensical comparison to make as meireles isn't very good whilst lampard still has much to offer.

not saying lampard is the lampard of a few years ago, but he's still capable of scoring vital goals, assisting and being instrumental for chelsea.

meireles on the other hand isn't and that's why it's a little baffling why avb continues to favours him over lampard.

crazy game last night - end to end - shocking defending - could have been 8-4 to napoli

Napoli tho, really should have got a 4th - i'd be a bit more confident then....

Chelsea are obviously having issues, but the way napoli defended at times a 2-0 home win is not beyond chelsea - they will need a hell of a turn around in attitude and tactics from both players/manager etc

it all depends with how they defend, with Lavezzi and Cavani on the pitch, one chelsea mistake and it will be game over.

Yep, and it's nice to see more new faces going through and not just the usual suspects.

Great game yesterday and I really rate Napoli. Nice with a team that wants to take chances, several players that wants the ball and wants to dribble. Even the CD with the head thing took the ball past players a few times.

Chelsea won't come back from this IMO. Napoli's attack is to good, and Chelsea's defence to ****ty.

Unbelievable stuff in Basle, both sides could've scored and Basle just had a shot parried onto the post, rolling virtually along the goal line and then cleared by a Bayern defender.

Diego Forlan looking a little laboured in the first 30 minutes here, must say apart from Madrid, Barca maybe Bayern the rest of this competition seems really under par this year.
