I'd be happy to keep Carroll but Rodgers does't fancy him, his value is going to decrease if he doesn't play, and we can't keep someone on £80k per week who will only get the odd ten minutes here and there.

I don't think Huntelaar would fit into our system. Doesn't have the workrate or technical abilities needed for our style. Maybe in Kenny's system last season yes, but not now.

He is one of the few that we can potentially attract.

He is 29, the same age as Dempsey, but if Fulham wanted 10m for Dempsey then 14-15m for Huntelaar is a bargain.

This guy scored 128 goals in 193 games he played in last 6 years with goal ratio of 66%.

I am pretty sure he'd fit just nicely.

I think the title will be concrete if we keep hold of him and let him sit on the bench week in week out.

It's a case of cutting losses, yes it seems to have been a catastrophe, but just because he was £35m doesn't mean he should automatically be selected for the team. That's not his fault or Rodgers'.
I personally think he would be a decent striker for the likes of West Ham, but in our system I think he's nowhere near the standard required.
