So he'll go there for about 15-17m then.

Does no one actually feel sorry for Carroll?
I think it's ****ing shady really.
As I've said previously perhaps Rodgers just doesn't see him fitting in to his plants but it's still tight on him, he's not going to be given a single opportunity to show BR anything by the looks of things and that to me is pretty unfair.
Perhaps I'm soft I don't know.
It will shatter his confidence too - Personally I'd be devastated if it were me.Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

His Swansea team played against Liverpool and Carroll twice last season. He'll no doubt have had scouts watching us before those games and he'll have had a look at him during the games. May simply be a case of he didn't like what he saw and the pre match reports were less than glowing about Carroll and he want's shot of asap.Originally posted by Slinky Skills View PostDoes no one actually feel sorry for Carroll?

Nothing shady about it at all.

Have any of their values decreased?Originally posted by Mostar View PostCole on loan, Aquilani on loan, Pacheco on loan, Wilson on loan, now possibly Carroll..
Without breaking down the Aquilani signing...
I know we've paid a few quid in wages but these could be new signings for us next season...

This is stupid if we're loaning Carroll with an option to buy at 15M. There needs to be one or two more strikers coming in to justify this. We have no depth and we're getting rid of a good player? He's not anywhere close to worth the 35M spent, but that's already spent. It's gone. If Rodgers' system is so rigid that Carroll can't even be a viable backup and plan B, then I have even more concerns than before.

I feel sorry for andy.....
I also think he will go on and prove us ****in wrong....
Also,I'm all behind this tiki taka footy but every team should have a plan b.....
And I reckon andy is better than just a lump as well....
Unless Brenda has someone like llorente, villa, benzema or Higuain lined up, then I don't think this is going to be good

Well put, my major concern for next season is what appears to be a lack of plan B. It seems all or nothing regarding this tiki taka football plan. Carroll has to be given another season,to just dismiss a player who appears to be on the up is a big mistake. It's a prediction thread on a wish list.

I think in the whole discussion of the loan it has been forgotten that if we continue our recent trend we'll have a new manager next season and there is a 50:50 chance they will rate him. Then there can be a glut of 'like a new signing' stories and everyone is happy.Originally posted by Lee View PostHe'd have three years left if he goes on loan next season.
I can't see his value increasing at all regardless of how well he does next year.
Seems like we've shown our hand already, and once it's common knowledge that a player is no longer in your plans then it gives the potential buyers more of a chance to get the price down."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

I don't think we need a world class striker to replace Andy Carroll, just a competent one. Although one of those would be nice.Originally posted by frank the tank View PostI feel sorry for andy.....
