He can be in the named squad and not travel.

Andy Carroll has not travelled with #LFC squad for the Europa League qualifier against FC Gomel. Was named in squad.

Carroll was named in the travelling squad to face FC Gomel of Belarus as Brendan Rodgers leads Liverpool in his first competitive game as manager on Thursday.

Providing there are no acceptable late bids prior to Liverpool boarding their flight on Wednesday morning, he is likely to participate in the qualifying round.

We may have an accetable offer then..

I think he's been left at home just to make Suso feel better.

Sadly the main player we wanted has stayed with the club he’s at,#COYI

Continued: despite trying very hard and agreeing terms with the club, we now move on with other targets.

Anyway we only want player that want to play for WHU

So, that's @JSullivanWHU, son of David Sullivan claiming that Carroll is now staying at #LFC

Could it be that we needed to sell Carroll to fund new players and now that he doesn't want the move, we are selling Agger?

#WHUFC have 100% given up hope of signing Andy Carroll from #LFC. The player didn't want to join them. They move on.

Good news. We should never have entertained a loan deal.

Lets just keep him FFS. He was just coming good and I think he can do a decent job in this new system. At worst he is a great sub to throw on when we are struggling.

I don't get why this should be the case? We have just signed a massive deal with Warrior as well as improving other deals. We have also, like the rest of the league, got money from the record breaking TV deal.

If we need to sell now to buy players, something is wrong! Our wage bill has already been slashed with Kuyt, Aquilani, Maxi and likely Bellamy leaving.

We cannot be run like Arsenal because A) They have a bigger stadium B) They are based in London and charge the highest rates for tickets and C) They had a team playing CL football when they started their model.
