Kenny is an absolute legend for us, but im afraid he made the wrong choice coming back.

However the Andy Carroll signing will always be a black mark on Kenny's name. I cant even be bothered listing what else we could have done with the £35m.

just look at the way the ball sticks to sturridge, his close control, pace, etc.

this is what we need to compliment suarez, and coutinho to come in too.

andy, you big lummox, we really wanted you to smash teams for us but unfortunately that ship has sailed
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

having carroll in the team is only a good idea if we're planning to play crosses into the box in the air. i don't think we are.

Because the guy we paid 20m for, to provide that service just can't.

ANDY CARROLL is back on Newcastle United’s radar with the Geordie boy believed to be on a list of summer targets for Alan Pardew.
                LINK
The Chronicle understands Carroll would be “open” to the lure of a return home this summer – if presented with the opportunity.

FIFA regulations have meant a bid for the former No 9 in January was never on the menu for the Magpies.

Even though United would have been within their rights to secure the player’s services via a purchase, the rule book means the Geordie star would not have been eligible to play until the start of the 2013/14 season.

Carroll is on loan at West Ham and has just returned from a knee injury.

It is uncertain whether West Ham will press ahead with their invite to sign him permanently for £17m in the summer.

The fact the Hammers have also added Brazilian striker Wellington Paulista on loan also indicates the Londoners are looking at other options.

At 24, Carroll still very much fits into Newcastle’s blueprint and staff at the club know exactly what he can do.

He also has a good rapport with managing-director Derek Llambias.

The bonus for Newcastle – who were prepared to offer £12m for the player last summer after an initial loan – is this transfer fee is likely to come down again this summer if Liverpool fail to sell him to West Ham.

Yet a fresh loan move to Tyneside, with a view to a permanent deal, would also be a possibility again if Newcastle were prepared to pay some of his wages.

Wages would be the hurdle for the Magpies but, given that Liverpool have been told to trim down their wage bill and Joe Cole earned a £3m pay off to leave for West Ham 18 months before his deal with the Reds expired, there is plenty of flexibility to make a deal happen.

The problem with that was he wasn't in the box when the crosses were delivered, he'd be strolling around in midfield, or be the one crossing the ball in (still makes me laugh when Carroll crossed the ball and Spearing was the one heading it )

You'd think he'd do really well in an Allardyce team but when he's played he's hardly set the world on fire.
                  We come not to play.

We have to ignore what we paid for Carroll and take any bids on their merit... £17M for Carroll is a great price.

I'll be totally amazed if Ashley pays 17mill for AC, wages to come on top of that.
