Yep, the only surprise is he didnt call the performance "perfect", that's exactly how he wants England to play as he's said himself many times. I still cant quite comprehend how he's got away with that world cup disaster, out after 2 games and it barely feels like a word has been said apart from on forums etc. Meanwhile Capello got destroyed for losing in the 2nd round (and rightly so as his tactics and team selection was a joke but how can Hodgson not get the same or worse?!)

He's successfully managed to lower expectations at the FA. It failed at LFC where the fans, as one, didn't accept his pathetic, negative bile.

Those quarter finals they used to get look like world cup wins compared to what they get nowadays, and they look completely unlikely to ever get to that stage again.

The players are hyped beyond belief on one hand and then Hodger tries to dampen expectation with the other.

But what is exactly being done to fix our perennial issues? Hodgson exacerbates the issues by continuing to persist with outdated tactics and plans. The FA has no overall vision for changing anything. The press will point fingers at the foreigner issue but can never answer why England were **** when it was nearly all domestic players in the 80s for example. Fans have finally reached the point of just giving up on the entire England set up it seems now.
