I reckon he's the best candidate aswell, well English one, the only concern would be players going from Klopp, Pochettino, Pep etc to a load of set piece, defence training and "get it in the mixer" type stuff. But on the plus side the Man Utd players will be used to that with Moyes, Gaal and Mourinho all playing dismal, defensive football.

It's shows the problems with English footy though. The Italians always have an Italian manager and he's usually top class. Spanish have a Spanish one, French a French one, Germans etc. In England not only are top class players in limited supply but there's **** all top class English managers.

Pretty much any of the names being mentioned would be an upgrade on Hodgson. I'd be fine with Fat Sam but then I don't really pay much attention to the national side.
