Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

can't we grow up a little about this?

hodge was ****e for us, we feared it before he came, he proved it when he was here and he rightly got booted out after a few months. zero positives from his time here and an utter mistake from the get go.

why are we being so petty as to keep slagging the man off. he's gone, we've moved on, he's done something decent for West Brom and deserves a pat on the back. fair play for that roy, wrong man wrong place for us but you have done well there.

yes its laughable that we see the english media fall hook line and sinker for what we didnt but then england shouldnt be expected to go toe-to-toe with the top 4 or 5 sides in europe. his approach is right for england just as its right for fulham and west brom. if he gets england punching above its weight then why all the hate?

if i was a fan of any other club reading this thread I'd be convinced that lfc fans are just bitter and small minded.

anyway, I know I can just not read it so Im not going to in future. But this thread is starting to make us look like a bunch of ******s.

There's no point replying I suppose, since he won't be reading it.

"It's amazing, from my point of view I've never seen anything like it before. The way they all want to work for one another, and the comradeship behind the scenes is quite unbelievable. I think it's down to Roy Hodgson, I really do. He's brought something a little bit different, he's very progressive in his way and he speaks to the lads. Yes, he's got that little bit of a Midas Touch."

High praise indeed for Roy from chairman of The FA's international committee Dave Richards. Remember, though, he is not the messiah, he's just a very good football manager.
We won one game, against arguably the worst team in the group. Astonishing....

Euro 2012: Roy Hodgson has 'Midas' touch - Sir Dave Richards

Football Association vice-chairman Sir Dave Richards says Roy Hodgson has brought "a Midas touch" to England's fortunes during Euro 2012.

Richards, also chairman of the FA's international committee, says the team spirit shown in Friday's vital 3-2 win against Sweden was "unique".

"The way they all want to work for one another and the comradeship behind the scenes is quite unbelievable," he said.

"It's down to Roy. He seems to have that little bit of a Midas touch."

England were trailing 2-1 in the second half of their Group D game in Kiev when Hodgson introduced substitute Theo Walcott. And the 23-year-old Arsenal winger turned the game in England's favour by scoring the equalising goal before setting up Danny Welbeck's winner.

Afterwards, Hodgson praised Walcott's impact and said he had been impressed by his whole team's response after Olof Mellberg's double threatened to send England to defeat.
But Premier League chairman Richards, speaking to BBC Sport from the England team's base in Krakow, insists 64-year-old Hodgson deserves the plaudits for ushering in a new team spirit.

"He's brought something a little bit different, he's very progressive in his way," he said. "It's something that is a little bit unique - I've never seen anything like it before.

"Everybody seems to be in a great frame of mind. The mood is fantastic and the manager is in great form."

FLMAO no wonder our football's in such a state when the guardian's of the game come out with stuff like this.

They'll be bringing back Charles Hughes as FA coaching director next.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
