West Bromwich Albion fans to dress up for Roy Hodgson farewell

BAGGIES fans are planning to pay tribute to departing boss Roy Hodgson at the season’s final Premier League clash at The Hawthorns – by wearing fun masks and England gear.

Albion fans have a tradition of dressing up for the final away game of a season.

Supporters are being urged to don Hodgson masks and national team shirts at the season finale against Arsenal to recognise Hodgson’s appointment to the nation’s top post.

Albion followers are also being called on to take England flags to show their support for the head coach.

The tribute is being co-ordinated by Albion fans’ website www.WestBrom.com and a spokesman said: “It’s a theme everybody can take part in.

“I’m sure the majority of people have England shirts or flags, so let’s all bring them along to give Roy our support. I think he’ll really appreciate us backing him in his new venture.”

The 5,000 fans heading to Bolton for the final away game on Sunday are also being asked to wear clown outfits to taunt local rivals.
