I don't watch football in pubs anymore cos no-one really watches it and you just get trollied and talk over it.
So, England out please. It'll be all the better for it without the usual Ingerlund bull****.
Oh I say his vision there was lovely

So yeah, Roy ... don't **** with my summer beerfest. You cunt.
if england aren't at the world cup, i'll still watch every game possible, i'll still enjoy the tournement, but as much as i try i wouldn't really get behind anyone
but if england are there - i'm notes one of these cunts who's going turn my backgarden into a pub, paint my face red and white and chant sing three lions on our shirt at the top of my voice everyday
- but i will 'support' england in the sense that me and all my mates will be down the local, it'll be busy, everyone having a good few drinks, i'll cheer england on whilst at the same time not be remotley upset when the lose on penalties to Belgium in the second round
bit of fraud thing to do maybe? - but so what - the euro's/world cup is worth watching, each game means something -the qualifiers and friendlies are ****.i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Not the case from my POV but international tournaments do get swamped by "the Ingerlund brigade", totally swamped. And maybe it's snobbish but all the people who don't give a **** about football suddenly walking around in England tops, filling the pubs with their painted faces etc. Grim.Originally posted by Reece View PostI don't really give a **** about England these days, but I'm not too keen on this stereotyping of anyone who does follow them as being part of the "Ingerlund" brigade.
I just prefer to enjoy the football of the other nations without the England charade, the endless bull**** on TV, and without their football stinking the place out. There is no way in my eyes tournaments are better for England's presence - it's markedly worse in my view.Last edited by Shaggy; 11-09-13, 09:30 AM.Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

yeah i agree with most of this - i hate all those dickheads, people who take the three weeks off work and then move into their shed with a TV and their best mate and a world cup wall chartOriginally posted by Shaggy View PostI much prefer World Cups without the England BS.

maybe I am are bit lucky where I live - we don't have many Inglurders' jumping on the band wagon - you get the odd few, but it doesn't take over the town, and our local is good for watching footy in - it's a massive pub, loads of tele's and although it gets busy and people get pissed in the 14 years i've been going there and seen big Liverpool and England matches it's always been a good atmosphere and enjoyable.
As i say maybe i am bit of hypocrite, but i don't care
- i have no real passion for england, i'll be a hell of lot more upset if liverpool draw against swansea than i would be if england didn't qualify for the world cup - but if you see past all the bull****, avoid the media hype and ignore the gob****e stereotypical england fans, then yeah i get behind them - purely because even tho i love football and would watch every game regardless, it's more fun when you are 'supporting' someone.
Also - personally I would like to see England win a world cup in my lifetime and despite what you all say....there is no ****ing way if England were 3-0 in the final you'd just be sat at home not arsed and turn over to Coronation St at full time and just carry on as if nothing had happened
the feel good factor and celebrations would be great - i really don't give a **** about athletics, but i got a buzz watching the olympics, i'm not a big fan of tennis or andy murray, but i got behind him and enjoyed seeing him win.i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

I understand people not liking that whole side of it, but again, do you not think that happens in every other country? Cos I do. People seem to use it as a stick to beat England/England fans with though.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostNot the case from my POV but international tournaments do get swamped by "the Ingerlund brigade", totally swamped.
