Speaking to a few Utd and Arsenal supporters they used to describe Hodgson as "not bad". When I asked if they would have him as a manager they'd say "****, no!". That says it for me. At the moment I think people are just bemused as it's clear that just changing the manager will count for **** all. I don't see many Hodgson-raters out there.
Maybe they should pay England managers on a per-performance basis, then we'd see how many would actually want to come here and how they rate the current team.
spot on englands only tough game should have been italy and the players are good enough to have got at least a draw with them.hodgson should have had the balls to drop rooney instead he played him in the middle against uruguay and alls that did was hamper sturridge and sterling who had decent games against italy.

Uruguay are on their home continent, are ranked higher than us, got to the semis of the last world cup, won the copa America and have a certain Suarez! The surprise was they lost to Costa Rica.
